Customers say that our tools are easy to calibrate and stay in calibration longer than other tools on the market. If you want to calibrate your Sturtevant Richmont torque wrenches, we can send you the procedure.

We know that not everyone has a torque tester or the experience to calibrate torque tools. You can send your tools out to a qualified lab. Or, you can send them to the Sturtevant Richmont factory for calibration.

The process is simple and easy.

1. Complete the calibration/repair form. Be sure to provide a detailed description of your requirements.

2. Be sure to specify the standard to which you want the tool or tester calibrated. We provide you with options, based on your needs. Our ISO 17025 Accredited Lab provides you with three different calibration options:

  • Calibration with no certificate.
  • Calibration to ASME or ISO 6789.1 with Calibration Certificate
  • Calibration to ISO 6789.2 with Calibration Certificate.

3. Contact our customer service team to schedule the calibration. Use repairs@srtorque.com as the email address. This way, our entire customer service team can access the email and provide assistance.

4. Email in the calibration/repair form to repairs@srtorque.com.

5. Print a copy of the calibration/repair form and place it in the box with the tools or tester to be calibrated.

Our calibration/repairs team will keep you informed about the calibration process and when we expect to calibrate your tools and get them back to you.

If you are not in the United States, the authorized Sturtevant Richmont distributor in your country will calibrate your tools or testers. Please contact them directly. To be part of our authorized distributor program, distributors outside the US must be able to service, repair, and calibrate all tools and testers in our lineup.

To get your copy of the calibration repair form, please email repairs@srtorque.com

Each year we get back about two-tenths of one percent of our tools for warranty work. We aren't happy about that. Our goal is to build tools that NEVER need warranty work. No one is perfect and we keep striving for perfection.

Our tools have one year from the date of purchase warranty. Our torque testers have the same warranty. If you find that your tool does need warranty work, contact our customer service department. They will discuss the issue. They will also issue an RGA (returned goods authorization) so when your tool arrives at our plant, we know exactly what to do with it.

Here is the step by step process for handling warranty work:

1. Contact our customer service team to discuss the issue. Email: repairs@srtorque.com and be sure to secure an RGA (returned goods authorization.)

2. Complete the calibration/repair form. Be sure to provide a detailed description of the issue. This helps us quickly address the issue.

3. Email in the calibration/repair form to repairs@srtorque.com.

4. Print a copy of the calibration/repair form and place it in the box with the tools or tester to be calibrated. Be sure to include the RGA number on the form.

5. Write the RGA number on the box prior to shipping it.

Our customer service team will keep you apprised of the process and let you know when your tool is returning to your facility.
